Serial Number Video What does this mean?
It is with great excitement that Wildwood welcomes the weapon of choice for world renowned slide-ace and hit songwriter, Lee Roy Parnell. Featuring a smooth as silk satin neck with a fantastically comfortable and slightly asymmetrical neck shape with a stinger and a beautiful killer motif!! The Lee Roy Parnell Les Paul has a marginally deeper and beveled cutaway and contoured neck heel that is curved to fit your hand like a glove, but still have the meat and anchor of a traditional Paul. Gorgeously warm and balanced Ron Ellis pickups, with even and buttery lows, a relaxed midrange and moderate compression on the attack.
The Lee Roy Parnell guitar offers a unique and creative design that Gibson has never offered before. It is a great concept that allows the pickup to lay on the wood in the pickup cavity. The reason Lee Roy lowers his pickups farther down is to get more of a “woody tone” and to make more of a connection with the wood. The pickups are still adjustable to the height you desire. The credit for the design goes to Phillip Whorton in collaboration with Lee Roy Parnell and the Custom shop for designing this. Yet another great idea from the innovators at Gibson Custom shop.
