Serial Number Video What does this mean?
Gibson Custom is pleased to announce the Collector's Choice #11, a 1959 Les Paul serial number 9-0925 (aka "Rosie"). One of the most pristine original examples of a 1959 Les Paul that the Custom Shop has ever studied and recreated, Rosie is unique for her dark cherry finish, a color that began to appear in the later era of the original 1959 run and became the standard among the varying degrees of Cherry Sunburst that were produced. Her finish has been very well preserved, a result of very little exposure to sunlight and having only two owners. She was recently acquired by an anonymous collector from the original owner who purchased her back in 1959.
