Serial Number Video What does this mean?
New for 2014 is the Gibson J-15, a round-shoulder model for the masses. The J15 is Handcrafted exclusively from North American solid tonewoods, Sitka spruce and American walnut from the Pacific Northwest. It features a 5-piece Eastern Maple Neck with walnut center strip and a walnut fingerboard and bridge with tusq nut and tusq compensated saddle. The J-15 has Grover tuners on a slim taper neck and is ready for live use with an LR Baggs Element Pickup. This new offering in the 2014 J-45 family is priced to move with a MAP of only $1499.
Every bit a Gibson, this new model is constructed in the Gibson Bozeman, Montana, facility with the same time-tested luthery techniques that make Gibson acoustic guitars some of the most sought-after instruments in the world: dovetail neck-to-body joint hand-fitted and secured with hide glue AND the scalloped bracing provide optimum vibrational transference from strings to body, and a hand-sprayed, naturally cured nitrocellulose lacquer finish allow the tone to mature with age. The stylish yet understated touch of the abalone rosette and sculpted vintage pickguard subtley enhance the look of this exceptional guitar. The warm, defined arboreal voice of Walnut drives this new offering from Gibson, Sitka Spruce adds the bright punchy complement – a very crisp high end response. It responds fabulously to a light and delicate touch and then roars when you dig in. Excellent clean low end and a very sweet midrange round out this beauty. Wildwood Guitars LOVES the J-15!!
