Wildwood 10 Neck Shapes and Sizes:Necks are all hand sanded and vary a bit in size, these measurements are taken from individual guitars and represent an approximation of size and shape, please inquire for a hands-on description of specific guitars Taper refers to the graduation of thickness from the nut to the 12th fret
Mid 60's C Neck - .790" at the 1st fret - .930" at the 12th fret, slimmest of the Wildwood 10 neck profiles, the shape is similar to Fender's '65 neck shape ( .842"- .970" ) but not quite as large
'59 Large C Neck - .860" at the 1st fret - .980" at the 12th fret, Large tapered C neck with bigger "shoulders" than the Mid 60's neck, a chunky C shape
'57 Soft V Neck - .850" at the 1st fret - .990" at the 12th fret, A soft V neck shape that is similar to the '56 V Boat Neck although the '57 V Neck is more tapered (Slimmer at the 1st Fret and Fatter at the 12th Fret). The V shape becomes more rounded as it goes up the neck toward the body and has a C shape feel with a bit larger shoulder than the '56 V.
'56 V Neck - .880" at the 1st fret - .980" at the 12th fret, also known as the "Boat Neck", small "shoulders" with most of it's girth at the very center of the back of the neck, this profile is standard on a Fender Custom Shop '56 Strat model
Nocaster U Neck - .998" at the 1st fret - 1.013" at the 12th fret, this is the largest neck profile with very little taper, large "shoulders", this profile is standard on a Fender Custom Shop '51 Nocaster model
'52 Medium U Neck - .865" at the 1st fret - .940" at the 12th fret, is very close in thickness to the Mid-60's C neck but has the shape of a '51 Nocaster neck in a smaller size. Large "shoulders" give it a bit of a chunky feel in a medium size neck. A very accurate vintage feeling neck with a 10" radius for modern playability, the best of both worlds.
