Introducing the American Vintage Series "Thin Skin Nitro" Special Lacquer Series

Featuring lightweight bodies, a "Thin Skin" nitrocellulose lacquer finish (just like the Custom Shop does it), and 6105 fret wire, these instruments have all the vintage look and feel you've come to expect from Fender's American Vintage Series, plus the singing sustain and chime you get with taller, wider fret wire and a nitro finish.


New Thin Skins expected for the Summer of 2012:

1952 Telecasters with a Twisted Tele pickup in the neck and a Flat Pole Broadcaster pickup in the Bridge, 52 Medium "U" Neck Shape (averaging .891 1st fret - .933 12th fret), 9.5" Radius and 6105 Frets in a Butterscotch Finish.

1952 Telecasters with a Duncan 59 Humbucker in the neck and a Flat Pole Broadcaster pickup in the Bridge, 52 Medium "U" Neck Shape (averaging .891 1st fret - .933 12th fret), 9.5" Radius and 6105 Frets in a Butterscotch Finish.

1954 Stratocasters with a 9.5" Radius and 6105 Frets, Oversized "C" Neck Shape (averaging .883 1st fret - .998 12th fret), 3 Custom Shop Fat 50's Pickups, Lightweight Ash Body with a 2-Tone Sunburst finish.

1962 Jaguar with a 9.5" Radius and 6105 Frets, 60's "C" Neck Shape (averaging .840 1st fret - .918 12th fret), American Vintage Jaguar Single-Coil Pickups (averaging 6.55k Ohms Output on Bridge Pickup and 6.40k Ohms on Neck Pickup).

1959 Stratocasters with a 9.5" Radius and 6105 Frets, Modified SRV Neck Shape (averaging .830 1st fret - .980 12th fret).

1961 Stratocasters with a 9.5" Radius and 6105 Frets, Custom Shop Fat 50's Pickups (averaging 6.26k Ohms Output on Bridge Pickup, 6.09k Ohms on Middle Pickup, 6.03k Ohms on Neck Pickup), 60's "C" Neck Shape (averaging .828 1st fret - .907 12th fret), Finished in 3-Tone Sunburst, Vintage White, Lake Placid Blue, Candy Apple Red and Sonic Blue.
