Keeley Stacked SD-1 with Diode Switch
New as of August 2007 we're introducing a new feature now included in our SD1. We're now stacking two TI4558P chips. These two TI chips work in parallel, mounted on top of each other and soldered together. Many hi-fi stereo enthusiasts enjoy this technique for noise reduction (read The Art of Electronics for some really technical data!) and itÕs been done in a couple of other boutique effects too. The same Keeley SD1 tone is still there, now with noticeably BETTER DISTORTION, LESS NOISE, ARTICULATION and TRANSPARENCY! This tone is so good we've decided to stop including the Burr Brown chip. (DonÕt feel like youÕve missed out; this new version and technique is truly better sounding in the SD-1.)
We still create the NEW, BETTER BYPASS! We have improved the BOSS switching making it even closer to true-bypass! In stock form these units may suffer a bit of bleed through when off if the level and gain are set very high. No longer! We now have the best sound pedal both on and OFF!
This pedal is a key element to many heavy rocker's tone. It's like the TS9 with more transparency and more edge. If you are looking for something in the Tube Screamer vein, but with a little more hair on it, not as much midrange push, this is it!
Now with Two TI RC455P IC Chips, it promises to deliver huge tone!
You saw it here first! Complete with metal film capacitor and resistor upgrade. Increased Bass, Drive, and Fidelity.
